Before every speech, I have a routine that ensures that every speech I give sounds the way I want to sound. I record my speech.
This might sound strange to new speakers, but doing this will strengthen every speech that you give. Recording a speech forces you to not only make sure that the speech sounds correct, but it forces you to practice your speech, over and over again until it sounds right. You can’t even being to imagine the number of times that I stopped my recording and started over due to tripping on a poorly constructed phrase.
I promise you, doing this simple preparation will help every speech you give. Now go out and buy a pocket recorder!
Happy Speaking,
Chris
