I’m back!
Sorry to anyone following this blog for the long pause, but work and personal issues have been keeping me busy and not writing. Hopefully I can keep some time to post more in the coming weeks.
I also have been working on the re-design of my personal site, http://chris-elliott.com and that has taken a lot of my time.
My article today comes from sitting in quite a few meetings the over the past few weeks. During that time, I have experienced something that drives me crazy; people not checking their PowerPoint slide deck before their presentation. What a show stopper!
I was at a presentation by a nationally known presenter in my field, and he forgot to check the slide deck before he did his presentation. Bad, bad, and more bad. It really broke up the flow and made the presentation not come off very well.
Today’s return to the blog is a short tip. Don’t forget to check your slide deck before you start presenting. Forgetting to do so might really mess up the flow of your presentation and make you look like less of an expert than you claim to be.
